Institute for Aviation and the Environment (IAE)
a knowledge exchange case study
Aviation has a global affect on the environment by emitting gases and particles directly into the atmosphere. The University of Cambridge has set up the Institute for Aviation and the Environment to address many of the related issues.
The institute incorporates the latest scientific research, technological developments and economic thinking to address the aviation and aerospace industries' needs regarding the environment.
This project funds individuals to build links with relevant organisations in the aviation and air transport sectors to: develop lines of communication; guide research; and feed results directly into the design process and regulatory framework.
