Hyporheic network - a knowledge transfer network on hyporheic zone processes
a knowledge exchange case study
This is a network on groundwater/surface water interactions. It has a specific focus on the processes that take place in the region called the hyporheic zone which is located beneath streams where shallow ground water and surface water mix. It allows the research and user communities to meet and exchange knowledge, as well as identifying priorities for research from the end-user's perspective. It brings together hydrologists, ecologists, geochemists, geomorphologists and hydrogeologists to identify opportunities for novel cross-disciplinary research.
