Procedure

Please email the Web Team to ask for new content or an amendment on an existing page.

Small changes

If you only need small changes, such as names, dates or edits totalling less then 25% of the page, simply quote the page's web address and give a clear description of what needs changing. We will usually be able to make updates within two working days.

If you are the owner of the page, please use the 'site signoff' procedure instead of emailing the Web Team (contact the Web Team if you don't know where this is hosted).

Bigger changes or new pages

For larger-scale changes and new pages, please don't spend time crafting every detail - it could be reworked to fit corporate style anyway. Instead contact the Web Team to discuss your ideas. Editors in the communications team will help you write the content, so please allow more time. Once new content has been prepared, it may take up to a further five working days to carry out the design and production work before it can go live.

Please make sure you leave enough time for all writing and production work.

Future maintenance

Remember - when asking for a web page, you are responsible for looking after it, and will need to make time to check it. Every page now has an expiry date when the owner will be asked to check whether any changes are required. You should use the 'site signoff' procedure to do this.
