RV Prince Madog
The research vessel Prince Madog is jointly owned by the University of Wales Bangor (UWB) and P&O Maritime Services. Ownership is via a joint venture known as P&O Maritime Ocean Sciences (POMOS).
The RV Prince Madog is a recognised NERC facility and is funded on a pay-as-you-go basis. Applications to use the RV Prince Madog must cover all costs associated with use of the vessel. Funds may be applied for from NERC or from other funding sources.
Support from National Marine Facilities - Sea Systems (NMF Sea Systems) is available for cruises on the Prince Madog as on the other NERC research vessels and must be costed into research grant applications in discussion with Colin Day.
