The Argon Isotope Facility (AIF) provides 40Ar/39Ar analytical facilities for determining the age and rates of geological processes, ranging from recent problems in global climate change, volcanic hazards and biologic evolution, to questions regarding the oldest history of the Earth, moon and solar system.
