Interim advice concerning the use of high aspect ratio carbon nanotubes (CNT) from the Environment Agency

The Environment Agency (EA) has released new interim advice on the classification and disposal of waste containing high aspect ratio carbon nanotubes (CNT), in view of recent evidence concerning the toxicological properties of these materials.

The EA recommend that waste containing CNTs is treated as hazardous with immediate effect and that the attached advice is followed to ensure safe waste disposal.
