The Mineral Resources Expert Group Science Plan and recommendations for delivery of the programme and subsequent calls is now available.

There will be two phases of grant funding for delivery of the Minerals Resources programme. Phase 1 will be for 'Catalyst grants' and Phase 2 for large consortia grants. Catalyst grants should involve pump-priming activities; including workshops, preliminary studies and building of interdisciplinary research teams to build partnerships with industry and enable international exchange of research ideas, personnel and activities for Phase 2 funding.
The Announcement of Opportunity for the Catalyst grants will be published shortly.
An event to launch the Mineral Resources Network will be held in early 2013. The event will include a brokerage session in preparation for the Phase 1 Catalyst grants call. Full details will be announced soon.
