Mineral Resources Network launch event and brokerage session

An event to launch the Mineral Resources Network and the NERC Security of Supply of Mineral Resources programme catalyst grant call will be held on Monday 18 February 2013, 10:00-17:00.
The day will include information about the network, talks from representatives of the extraction and end-user communities and a brokerage session.
As part of the programme Security of Supply of Mineral Resources, NERC will be inviting bids for catalysts grants. The purpose of these grants will be to create interdisciplinary communities and to scope the science areas ready to respond to a later call for research grants.
Towards these ends, the brokerage session will facilitate networking by providing an initial opportunity to make contacts across disciplines. Attendees will be asked to present a single PowerPoint slide to other delegates, outlining their work/interests, for a maximum of three minutes.
Further details of the catalysts grant call will be available on this website soon. The Science & Implementation Plan for this programme has already been made available.
Please note that attendance at this event is not a requirement for submitting a catalyst grant application.
