Environment & Human Health
Aims and objectives
The programme aims to help improve the health of people, both in the UK and globally, by:
-
developing a community of researchers who can undertake multi- and inter-disciplinary work to help us understanding the links between the environment and human health,
-
improving our ability to identify and predict emerging issues of potential concern,
-
improve the evidence available to support risk assessments and regulation-setting by government departments, agencies, and other stakeholders.
The Science Advisory Committee identified several areas of interest which were the subject of the programme's initial funding opportunity (now closed).
