ESPA 2013 town meeting -
Research theme development
21 November 2012
Charles Darwin House, 12 Roger Street, London, WC1N 2JU
On 21 November there will be a research theme development workshop for the ESPA 2013 funding call to jump start the framing of the research themes. Following the workshop, the ESPA Programme Executive Board will review outputs from the workshop and develop an Announcement of Opportunity. £4m will then be available to fund projects of £250,000-£500,000.
We invite all those interested to apply online
indicating your area of disciplinary expertise and interest. Please note that attendance at the town meeting is not a prerequisite of applying for the ESPA 2013 grants round.
The call will have three major themes, two of which will be developed at this meeting:
- Sustainable, ecosystem-based pathways out of poverty.
- Ecosystem services and the urban poor.
If we have more expressions of interest than places available, participants will be selected to represent the full range of disciplinary expertise.
The workshop will be held at Charles Darwin House, Roger Street London, and will run from 10:00 until 17:30. Participants will fund their own travel and expense. Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
In your application you must provide the following information:

- Disciplinary expertise (50 words maximum)
Expressions of interest close at 17:00 on Friday 26 October 2012, and participants will be informed by Friday 2 November 2012.
