Better communication and sharing for scientists
Solutions to major environmental challenges require more interdisciplinary science and better communication across the disciplines. This programme has already developed communication tools and methods for sharing data and computational tools that are radically changing the way that scientists in different institutions and from different disciplines work together. Benefiting society
Many of the new techniques and tools developed in this programme have applications beyond environmental science in other research fields and in industry. Scientists must work together with industry and government to ensure that this knowledge is widely exploited for the benefit of society. A number of projects have already emerged.
