Earth Observation LINK
Background
Making the best use of satellite data.
The Earth Observation Link programme supported innovative pre-competitive Earth Observation applications research. The projects were collaborations between industry and academia (with 50 percent of the money coming from grants, and 50 percent from industry). Projects had at least one industrial and one academic partner. They aimed to meet needs the UK government's Technology Foresight Programme had already identified.
The Earth Observation LINK Programme supported a wide range of research, but all projects use space derived data as an essential element.
