Can I apply for a grant?
Prospective supervisors may apply for doctoral training grants to support PhD studentships. The first studentship funding round will take place in 2009. If successful, further annual studentship funding rounds will be held (2010, 2011, 2012). The programme has the potential to support up to 28 studentships in total.
Budget
NERC and ACTF have provisionally allocated a combined budget of up to £2·2m to this programme of studentships.
Awards
The first awards started in Autumn 2010, the second awards started in Autumn 2011 and the third awards will start in Autumn 2012.
