Grants on the Web (GOTW)
Grants information is collected by the RCUK Shared Services Centre (SSC) and uploaded weekly to NERC's Grants on the Web system. Only grants submitted to NERC from June 2000 onwards are displayed. Searches are possible by region, institution, grant reference, person, search term and research classification. The latter is now a three-tier classification which spans six of the seven research councils; only the middle level of this hierarchy (research topic) is searchable in GOTW. Grants on the Web
Studentships on the Web (SOTW)
This service has been suspended as all NERC studentships are now administered through Doctoral Training Grants. High-level information on these grants is provided in NERC's Grants on the Web system. Information on individual studentships is available to NERC staff through RCUK-SSC management information systems. Individual research organisations can access their own information through Je-S. It is not intended to provide a web system to publicly display this information in the immediate future. Details of the PhD projects (PhD start year, project title, abstract, Research Organisation (RO), RO department) for NERC funded studentships starting over the previous five years (2007-2012) can be found on the NERC Funded PhD Projects page.
