UK Antarctic Science meeting 2012
Cambridge, 12-14 September

The British Antarctic Survey is organising a UK Antarctic Science meeting, to be held in Cambridge in September 2012, with financial support from the Natural Environment Research Council. This event is intended for the whole UK-based research community engaged in Antarctic science. With keynote speakers, presentations on behalf of leading projects, and opportunities to build new networks, the purpose of the meeting is also to provide the community with a forum to discuss future directions of Antarctic science funded in the UK, together with logistic capability needs. The meeting will take place at the Kaetsu Centre of Murray Edwards College, Cambridge. For further information, contact Nicola Munro at the British Antarctic Survey (using the conference e-mail address). Further details will also be available on the BAS website in due course.

It is intended that this UK Antarctic science meeting should be the first of a regular, biennial fixture, alternating with UK Arctic science meetings (the second of which was held at the University of Leeds in September 2011). The UK National Committee on Antarctic Research (UKNCAR) will oversee the continuity of the UK Antarctic science meetings.
