Global Nitrogen Enrichment
Too
much of a good thing?
Every organism on Earth needs nitrogen. But livestock farming and our use of nitrogenous fertilisers and fossil fuels has doubled the amount of biologically active nitrogen in global circulation. This is a massive change, with enormous consequences for our ecosystems.
