Environmental Data Portal
The Environmental Data Portal (EDP) was developed as part of NERC's e-Science programme which has now been completed.
The portal enables people to visualise data globally, regionally and locally through Google Earth or a web browser-based map.
For example, you can see the land cover maps held by NERC's Centre for Ecology & Hydrology overlaid onto UK geological data held by NERC's British Geological Survey; or NERC's British Antarctic Survey expedition data overlaid on top of sea surface temperature data from the National Centre for Ocean Forecasting.
