Bjørn Lomborg continues rational debate about climate change

The witch-hunt against Professor Bjørn Lomborg, author of the controversial book The Skeptical Environmentalist, has stepped up a gear.

Lomborg has been vilified in prestigious scientific journals including Nature, Science and Scientific American, with at least one of his critics comparing him to Holocaust deniers for challenging the accepted wisdom on global warming.

But a more reasoned discussion between Lomborg and his critics and supporters exists, on the online publication spiked.

spiked and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) launched their debate on global warming in November 2001, with Lomborg putting the case against implementing the Kyoto protocol, and Dr Mike Hulme, executive director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, putting the case for.

The debate so far has included expert responses to Lomborg and Hulme by:
