Debate hots up on global warming

Responses to the spiked-science debate on global warming, sponsored by the Natural Environment Research Council, have been flooding in from around the world.

Bjørn Lomborg, author of 'The Skeptical Environmentalist', puts the case against implementing the Kyoto Protocol on climate change - while Dr Mike Hulme, executive director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, puts the case for.

Recent respondents include climate change experts Dr Fred Singer (president, Science and Environmental Policy Project), Professor John Brignell (editor, Number Watch) and Dr Richard Courtney (IPCC expert reviewer).

Expert responses have been given from:

  • John Gillott, co-author of 'Science and the Retreat from Reason'.
  • Margaret Mogford of the UK Emissions Trading Group.
  • Philip Stott, Emeritus Professor of Biogeography at the University of London.
