New Year Honours

The Natural Environment Research Council extends warmest congratulations to colleagues who received the Queen's New Year Honours, in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
Our congratulations go to:
Professor Anne Glover, Chief Scientific Advisor for Scotland and a member of the Natural Environment Research Council, who has been awarded the CBE for services to environmental science.
Dr Robert Mulvaney, Glaciologist in the Physical Sciences Division at the British Antarctic Survey, who has been awarded the OBE for services to science.
Mr John Hansford, formerly Director Swindon Office for the Natural Environment Research Council, who has been awarded the MBE for services to science.
Professor Mike Roberts, a former Director of the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology and more recently Chief Executive of Defra's Central Science Laboratory, who has been awarded the CBE.
