Global Warming: Will Phoenix Fry?
12 April 2006
As part of the Distinguished Lecturer Series at Arizona State University's Department of Physics and Astronomy, NERC's Chief Executive Professor Alan Thorpe is delivering a lecture on climate issues.
He will present an overview on topics relevant to climate effects - what is the evidence that the climate is changing - what has caused the change - and how might this affect us?
Issues such as - environment, ocean circulation, hurricanes, regional patterns, emissions, further research areas and more will be discussed. Details and discussions on how climate change models must have a comprehensive model to simulate climate with and without causative factors, will be addressed, along with data on factors ranging from clouds, radiation effects, and how natural factors cannot explain recent warming.
From climate feedback to the climate prediction.net experiment, Alan Thorpe's lecture will focus on the vital climate topics that are relevant to our lives.
