As part of the innovative monitoring approaches funding call, NERC invited applicants to participate in interactive brokerage events to learn more about the funding call and to network and develop ideas for related innovation projects.

The two events were held to bring together academics with 'end-user' representatives from across the infrastructure, oil & gas and offshore renewable energy sectors:

  • 26 April 2017 - British Geological Survey, The Lyell Centre, Edinburgh
  • 5 May 2017 - National Oceanography Centre, Southampton

For this event, 'end-users' were defined as private, public, or third sector organisations or institutions, private industry, public bodies (such as government departments, local government, regulatory authorities, etc), non-governmental organisations or charities.

We regret that we were unable to offer a place at the brokerage events to everyone who submitted an expression of interest. The participant selection panel sought to ensure that a balance of expertise was present at the events. Attendance was strongly encouraged but was not a pre-requisite for the submission of proposals to this call.

The closing date for expressions of interest was 16:00 on 24 March 2017.
