Announcement of awards
Following the assessment process and final funding decisions, successful applicants will be immediately notified of the decision and Research Organisations will be sent an award letter from the RCUK Shared Services Centre through the Je-S system. The award letter details both the financial resources offered and the terms and conditions pertaining to the research grant award.
Where the funding offered is significantly lower than requested, Principal Investigators will be invited to revise the scope of the proposal in line with the Moderating Panel or Steering Group's recommendations. If the Principal Investigator is unable to do this to the satisfaction of NERC, or is not prepared to accept the reduced offer, the award will be withdrawn.
For awards where staff resources have been revised following peer review, Research Organisations will be asked to provide revised figures for Estates and Indirect costs. These revisions must be submitted within 10 working days of the request.
