NERC grant final reports
26 Nov 2012
In a move to reduce the amount of effort required of grant holders, NERC, along with a number of other councils, has decided to discontinue the current process for final reporting at the end of grants.
NERC grants with an end date on or after 1 January 2013 will no longer be required to submit a final report. Final reports will continue to be required for grants ending before 1 January 2013 following the current procedure.
Some grant schemes may continue to require that other reports be made to NERC; in these cases Principal Investigators will be advised what is required. There is no change to the process for Final Expenditure Statements.
Capturing the outputs, outcomes and impacts from NERC grants remains a high priority and final reports provided a component of this evidence. In future, this will be achieved via a single online Research Outcomes System (ROS)
that NERC will ask grant holders and/or institutions to submit updates into.
