Drop-in sessions for NERC Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTP) competition 2012

Following a series of requests, we are now planning a series of Drop-in Days where you can meet with us individually. These individual sessions will offer consortia or individual Research Organisations (ROs) who are starting to consider submitting proposals an opportunity to meet in private with NERC staff to discuss the competition. Potential applicants do not have to attend a clinic; we are happy to answer questions by phone or email.

These sessions will cover the details of the competition already announced as part of the DTP Update. No further competition details will be available until the full Announcement of Opportunity (AO) in November. Following the AO there will be Town Meetings and other days to talk to NERC staff about potential proposals to the DTP competition.

The drop-in sessions will take place:

  • Tuesday 18 September 2012 (BGS Nottingham) (FULL)
  • Wednesday 19 September 2012 (NERC Swindon Office) (FULL)
  • Thursday 20 September 2012 (BGS Edinburgh) (FULL)

We are currently offering seven, one hour-long slots at each day, which will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be space for up to eight attendees in each slot.

Please email Tina Bentley in order to book your consortia or individual RO's slot, indicating which drop-in session you would like to attend, and whether you prefer a morning or afternoon time. If possible, it would be helpful if you could provide a list of attendees at this stage, noting that we will need a confirmed list by Wednesday 11 September 2012. Confirmation of your booking will be sent in due course.

For further information about this or the DTP competition please contact Kirsty Grainger, NERC Head of Skills and Careers, on 01793 442540.
