NERC does not currently have any open calls for collaborative research. In 2012, two collaborative R&D calls, in partnership with the Technology Strategy Board, were released in the areas of marine renewables and water.

For scientists in NERC's research and collaborative centres, universities and recognised academic analogues to build new partnerships with public or private sector science users. (Maximum of £4000 directly incurred costs.)
