Research Studentships - PhD and DPhil
These awards are normally made for a period of three and a half years. They enable postgraduate students to receive training in research methods and to undertake a programme of research in a specific scientific area under the guidance of one or more named supervisor.
It is expected that the awards will lead to the submission of a thesis and the award of a PhD/DPhil. The majority of NERC studentships are awarded to departments using the NERC studentship algorithm.
The awards display notice lists the institutions with NERC PhD or Masters Studentships to award in the coming year.
