NERC Funded PhD Projects
All NERC funded PhD studentships are now funded via NERC Doctoral Training Grants or as Project Studentships on Research Grants. Details of these grants can be found on Grants on the Web. All data on individual studentships is now submitted to NERC through the Je-S Studentship Details Portal (Je-S SDP). These details do not currently feed through to a web-based system (previously Studentships on the web - SOTW). In the absence of a replacement for SOTW, an Excel spreadsheet is available showing limited information on PhD Projects (PhD start year, project title, abstract, Research Organisation (RO), RO department) for NERC funded studentships starting over the previous five years (2007-2012).
The data has been taken from the Je-S SDP and is a snap shot of the data at a certain point. The data is being provided to show the breadth of PhD projects supported by NERC and is not a complete record of current projects. Where a new record has been recently added or updates have been made to the Je-S SDP by the RO, these will not show on this page until the spread-sheet has been updated.
