NERC supports fellows undertaking environmental science research, including:

We particularly encourage applications to work across the boundaries of environmental science and engineering and social and/or economic research.
NERC is also particularly keen to attract scientists in areas of applied mathematics, physics or strongly quantitative disciplines wishing to develop a career in environmental science.
Applicants can only submit one application to NERC for the closing date of 16:00 on 1 November 2012.
