Annual call for membership 2012
The call for members is now closed.
We are currently in the process of selecting new members to join the PRC as of July 2012. If you have nominated yourself or been nominated by a colleague we will contact you by the end of April 2012 to confirm whether or not we will be inviting you to join this year.
We aim to ensure coverage of NERC's wide remit and to avoid over-representation from any single department or organisation. Therefore we cannot always invite even excellent candidates to join the College in the year they apply. Please contact us if you would like to discuss making a late application for membership in 2012-13 or if you have any general queries about PRC membership.
For the first time, this year members of the NERC Pool of Chairs and current members of the Peer Review college have been involved in the selection of colleagues to represent the environmental sciences community and peer reviewing applications to NERC.
We have convened scientific panels, chaired by members of the Pool of Chairs, with membership taken primarily from the current Peer Review College membership, and they have been asked to recommend new members to NERC.
We hope that involving the community further in the selection of PRC member will act to continue to ensure that the membership is appropriate and representative of the community as a whole. A list of panels and members is attached below.
