Research
Research programmes
- Lead and coordinate teams (ie theme leaders, knowledge exchange, International, Science Delivery) developing new actions for Theme Action Plan 4.
- Complete commissioning of research programmes from Theme Action Plan 3.
- Manage a portfolio of active research programmes.
- Engage with partners throughout the process to secure collaborations and enhance potential for impact of NERC research programmes.
Responsive Mode
- Delivery of existing schemes (standards, consortiums, fellowships, studentships, urgency).
- Implement new consolidation of schemes.
- Implement new approaches to demand management.
- Implement new approach to delivery of doctoral training.
National capability (NC)
- Engagement with NIP Project 1 to deliver NC prioritisation and NC integration.
- Management of Services & Facilities, HPC services, aircraft facilities and other SO-funded NC.
