Office composter
NERC Swindon Office along with other Research Councils in Polaris House bought a 700 series Rocket Composter for all food waste streams.
Swindon Office have been very successful in staff recycling of waste which has led to the composter working at its maximum output.
A de-watering system has been obtained to help achieve even better recycling by encouraging source separation of food waste as it is generated. This reduces the volume of water in the food waste and will free up at least 25% of spare capacity in the composter.
The compost produced is used on site at Polaris House.
