Sustainability Reporting
NERC first produced 'Green Accounts' in our Annual Report in 2004. These accounts are now termed 'Sustainability Reporting'. From 2011-2012 these will be produced in accordance with the requirement by HM Treasury for public sector annual reports on sustainability.
The report will include statistics on Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Waste Minimisation and Management, Water Consumption, Biodiversity Action Planning and Sustainable Procurement that arise from activities at our sites, by our staff in the course of their duties and as a result of our research operations.
