The final frontier
The GAIA-TECH Robo Researchers have been specially created to introduce different areas of science to primary school children. The animations introduce key words to describe some of the science topics in a fun format and show images of some of the more extreme places where scientists work.
The Robots visit some extreme environments to find out what research NERC scientists are doing there. They travel through ice more than two miles thick to find a lake unexplored by humans; up into space to see a telescope used to find water on other planets, and finally to the bottom of some of the deepest oceans on Earth to see what life exists there.
