Evaluation programme for 2013-14
In 2013-14, we intend to conduct the following evaluations:

1. Evaluation of the research excellence and impact of NERC centres. (ongoing from last year) |
Provide evidence of performance of NERC centres to Council and to the centres themselves. Provide evidence of achievements to communicate to external audiences. |
2. Evaluation of NERC's contribution to food security research. |
Inform the implementation of current strategy and development of future strategy. Provide evidence of achievements to communicate to external audiences. |
Notes:
The programme only covers evaluation activity to be conducted by Swindon Office - research centres may conduct their own evaluation activities.
The programme will be updated annually so that it will continue to provide the evidence that is needed. How we do this is set out in our Evaluation Strategy. The programme may also need to revised during the year, for example following developments in strategy delivery.
