Evaluation programme for 2012-13
In 2012-13, we intend to conduct the following evaluations:

1. Evaluation of the research excellence and impact of NERC centres. |
Provide evidence of the quality and achievements of NERC centres to inform strategic decisions, and to communicate to external audiences. |
2. Living With Environmental Change (LWEC) mid-term evaluation. |
Inform LWEC implementation to ensure successful delivery of the strategic goal, and that partners' aspirations are met. |
3. Analysis of the Technology Proof of Concept (TPOC) programme. |
Provide evidence of achievements, inform potential future TPOC investments. |
4. Energy portfolio SWOT analysis. |
Inform the future direction of NERC's energy portfolio. |
Notes:
The programme only covers evaluation activity to be conducted by Swindon Office - research centres may conduct their own evaluation activities.
The programme will be updated annually so that it will continue to provide the evidence that is needed. How we do this is set out in our Evaluation Strategy. The programme may also need to revised during the year, for example following developments in strategy delivery.
